Representing Injured Workers Since 1955

Two workers injured on the job after scaffolding collapses

Getting injured on the job can be a very trying experience to go through. First off, you have to deal with the injury itself, including the treatment and recovery process. Secondly, you have to deal with medical bills and the fact that you might be losing income because you can no longer work. The last thing anyone who has been hurt on the job in Los Angeles should have to worry about is whether or not he or she will receive a fair amount of worker’s compensation.

Two construction workers are still recovering after suffering injuries when they fell while installing scaffolding at a construction site. According to reports, both of the workers were in stable condition and were expected to survive their injuries. The workers, who are both carpenters, were installing the scaffolding at a skyscraper that is under construction when the scaffolding gave way and collapsed.

One of the workers is believed to have fallen about 40 feet, while the other dropped about 30 feet. Both of the workers suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. It is not known at this time why the scaffolding collapsed. The work site has been shut down while the California Division of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigates.

These men should both be eligible for workers’ compensation for as long as they need it. Likewise, if you have been hurt at work, including in a construction accident, but are having a difficult time receiving workers’ compensation, then you might need to speak with an experienced workers’ compensation attorney to get the necessary help.
